Anyone knows the definition of the word 'malat'.
Does this word even exist? Found in dictionaries?
Is it a verb, noun; name or translation from other language?

Just find that its a peculiar name for a club. The founders would surely know....

ahhhaaa... kekeke... gua dah agak dah... the word 'malat' or 'marlat' is originated from Hong Kong Cantonese and popular among our local chinese canto community (not hakka or mandarin). Malat is just a word for slang-ish and is the same reference of expression to a person. Like singaporean are famous for 'Kiasu/Kiasi' all that etc..

Let me picture you the way for you to judge the person is malat or not.

1. English (broken kow kow...me only larr)
2. Always trying to be stand-up in a crowd.
3. Talk Loud
4. When saw a nicely figured women... the jaw drop but dosen't make a move.
5. Show all what you have, for instance...from car, bodykit to handphone that clip to your belt...or bluetooth device that will stuck forever.
6. Lansi lanyau... show off but funny wei..
7. Funny and talks about lousy jokes
8. Gangsterism... (always kaki gaduh or saja saja join gaduh, like VCD Seller) kekeke
9. Doesn't care what the world turn into..
10. Self motivated
11. Doesn't fight for women kekekeke
12. Pervert / hamsap
13. Scratching butt
14. Nose picking
15. Never rely on other people...(berdikari)
16. Most friendly people
17. Corporate for us is just another business or means business
18. Enjoy life
19. Managed to survive even without money kkekeke (must work lorr)
20. Dedicated
21. NOT Kaki Kencing
22. Value friendship
23. Law abiding
24. Accepts reality
25. Respect people
26. Respect family values
27. Respect boundaries
28. Have a simple life stress free
29. Never take advantage
30. All the above

The word 'malat' is not a favorite word for some chinese community because it reflects 'bad' about them. But to us, it is just life...enjoy it while you can.

This is the small story...

Actually, it started from six of us, Reinier (Me), Dean Wong (Thunderworm), Marvin (MrBig), Simon (Templer), Ricky (Kaneko) and Ben (Neo). We called ourself malat geng..the people that always talk loud laugh and at the same time picking nose..kekekek...

Then we suggested that, we do big....meaning, open up our mind and share with others. We started with website and forums for other members to discuss/trade without any restriction. So we all share our cut to pump in some funds to settle the cost for domain/hosting and stickers. Then we collect donations from members to cover back the 'cost'.

'Takde Class' is one of the main problem that we faced during the 'form' of malatbimmer and sometimes we received nasty comments from others about this community. But we don't care larr, we all human aahhhh. Infact we (the founders) are just tired of the 'Club' protocol and all this president and committee stuff. Therefore, we just stick to community service instead of 'Club' and make life easy, this way all 'class' of communities able to join.

As for the other founders, most of them currently running their errants and only manage to join once in a while. As for me, i took liberty to maintain this community as long as I can and thanks to those who supported this community.
