"There is a wire that tells the ecu when the aircon compressor is on, this tells the ecu to raise idle to compensate for the extra load. If it's not connected you will get the idle drop. I had the same problem after engine overhaul when they forgot to connect back the wire. Can talk to ah wai at bmworld about it, he will know about this.

I didn't have the other problems you describe with insufficient power, crazy electrics etc so that sounds like another issue, maybe some bad grounds or too many grounding locations. Also how many years old is your battery?"-

This is what i got from a fellow forummer in BMWCM forum.Any of u guys here have any ideas regarding this?

cheers.

why dont you follow as per describe... then tell us whether is working or not?

Bro High,

No worries, am going to. The reason why i asked is because maybe i can get more feeds on the issue which would not need me to travel all the way to Cheras as it is quite a distance from my place. Anyways, big thanks to all on assisting thru out the whole thread.

cheers!

Hi

Would like to check if it the same for m40 engine, as when the air cond is on the idling drop instead of increasing slightly, further to that when i ram the trottle it will drop further till almost die off.

Please advice, on where it can be fix and how do locate the wire. current air cond already using local type.

cheers
