dude, i dont print money at hope larr...
you are saying dont? it will over stress the old engine? i've seen E34 doing this supercharging and so far no problem...but it's just a light setting...main objective is to make easy for me to overtaking during normal drive. not for racing bro....i will be looking at the levin 1.6cc supercharger or if i could find the 1.8cc version it will be better...but i still need some advice....only 50/50 for doing it

you are comparing an apple with an orange bro....1.8 with 2.5. engine conversion is out of the question......could not afford lah....i am semekin...aka miskin. slower than m20 2.5 doesnt mean i want to race with anybody, just want some sufficient power to overtake during normal drive

chris,
how much is the conversion cost? easy to get JPJ's approval (displacement more than 30% of original spec)? BTW i'm using E36 with M40 engine and so far the engine is in good condition.

I don't think JPJ will approve an increase from 1.8 to 2.5. But if you do not mind that, then by all means, that's a valid option as well.
I do think a significantly lighter, SC-ed M40 might be a good alternative to the heavier, older M20. *cabutz*
