Dear all seniors/otai2 out there,
Hi... I'm a new comer... FYI, I just bought a 2nd e36 MT (1.8 cc)...
Guys, I would like to ask for assistance to know whether we need to replace gear oil in diffential?...
As per previous owner, i dont need to replace the gear oil in differential bcoz i would create problems. Plus, he also mentioned that its lifetime is everlasting, thus what i've to do is just monitor its level and topup if necessary..
Then, cross into my mind to believe his saying bcoz as far as i'm concern, all liquid has viscosity and as time goes by, the viscosity of the oil would be reduced and its function to lubricate the gear would reduced as well. Thats why we need to replace the oil in the sense of caring the performance and the equipmant itself.
Thus, i really need assistance from otai out there to clear my ambigous.
Regards
