my car is e30 M40 manual
if i use the RON 92 (aka minyak merah, bangla cakap) will it suit my engine?

i dont care much about these RON, so far the most safest is RON92 (i using it too). RON (also Research Octane Number) 92 was made for low tech machineries like lawn mover, trucks where as RON 97 was made for cars and high tech vehicles. The only difference about this two is the addictive to make the fuel burn faster and cleaner. As for me Year 84 at that time 92 is the best. So i keep on using it and some bad habit of mine, i keep on switching.

but nowadays.....some ppl want to hav 'image' ....malu tu fill up using RON92....or dat minyak merah.....
for cars before before 92...pakai je la...tarak hal nyerrrr

I'm also using ron92 with my M40 E36....fuel should suit the year 97 and below. But anytime you change to ron 97, the knock sensor in the engine will self-adjust to reduce the "ping"
