sifus & taikos out there, when i sent my car for periodical servicing, the mech also advised to use de-carb. I never opt for it as it normally cost ard RM100 or so...
I wonder if this is the same product they are using?
I also have a bottle of Shell ala de-carb oil back at home which I bought last year & has yet to try it. The bottle is 4 liters as per normal engine oil bottle and package (white bottle with blue label). If my memory serves me rite, it is about RM25/bottle. It can be bought from any major Shell petrol kiosk.
The instructions advise to use it everytime before servicing your engine :
1. Drain out the old engine oil & remove old oil filter.
2. Pour in the de-carb Sheel oil into your engine with new filter.
3. Run the engine at idle (DO NOT REV ENGINE) for 5 minutes
4. Drain out the de-carb oil & remve the oil filter
5. You will notice very very dark oil & dirty filter
6. Proceed to replace the new engine oil & oil filter
My friend have tried it & showed me the pictures in his handphone, seems working fine like de-carb too.
Performance wise, I'm not too sure...let me try it on my next service & will update you guys la.
