Nak tanyer nak maintain E30 ni susah ke? Pastu mahal tak ? (cheep thing aint no good hehehe ) Senang dpt Spare part?

Ok tak kalo nak wat jalan jauh, for travel purposes?

How about OC? (oil consumption) kalo 320i kuat minum minyak tak?

Kebanyakan E30 yg ade sunroof hanya guna Manual ke? Electronic sunroof ade tak?

Bro, welcome to MB. To answer ur questions;
1. Maintenance - Yes, easy if you know how & take care of the car.
2. Mahal? - Depends on what you want to do. Service? Sometimes it's cheaper than Protong
3. Spare Parts? - Easy if you know where to search
4. Jalan Jauh? - Depends on the condition of ur car lah
5. Minyak? - Different between auto & manual & 4 & 6 pots. My 4 pot 318, RM10 KL - Seremban
6. Sunroof? - Auto & Manual. Both available. If not self install.
7. No tonjol? - just make sure u ask the correct question in the correct Forum =)

Btw, please bear in mind that the last E30 is already 17 years old now. If you want a simple car with lil' bit of maintenance or easier spare parts, please go and get a Protong =P

Maintenance - Kena rajin, less problem
get a good E30 89 and above because model after year 89 body full galvanised, therefor corrosion takdak.

Jimat? get 318 manual 4 pot. Nak laju? get 320 manual 6 pot Motronic Engine. Jimat minyak but slightly higher than 4 pots. L-Jetronic makan minyak sikit, BUT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR DRIVING BEHAVIOR.

Service... RM160 - 200 with Semi Synthetic Oil.

Belt Change - Average RM480 - RM650 (this consist of all belting, including power steering, aircond, alternator, fan belt and Timing Belt)

Long distance is the best. BMW characteristic is for speed and long drive. Minyak lagi jimat. I try from KL to Mersing (travelling in 160-175), minyak RM30 BUT not much traffic larr that time.

For parts... most parts are still available (basically in M40 models).

actually, no need to use semi synthetic oil. I always use the cheap mineral oil, change every 5000km. Castrol 15-40 cheap and good. Next time will change to Castrol 10-40W.

Long distance is a joy and the fuel consumption depends how heavy your foot is.

For comfortable long distance travel, BMW suits for that. The BMW engine block are made to last and durable. I guess its German Steel.

Feeling fatigue in BMW memang jarang dengar. Beware, E30 (3 series) are made for sporty feel, you might feel a bit bumpy and fast and if you taking hard corners, you need a good set of suspension set-up (anti-roll bars/ strutbars and a good set of braking system) that is why, only 3 series are made for race cars. I suggest you 5 series (E34). The ride is more suitable, comfort and spacious.

ermm.. menarik gak.. tapi gue baru sahaja amik e30/M40. so far blom lagik lagi sampey ke tahap yang dewa untuk maintenance. nie pun baru nk tukar timing belt and belting2 yg sama waktu dgn nyer. Ada workshop yg OK tak??

1 more - problem gue disini kenapa temp gue naik separuh bile ON Air Cond. maksud gue disini not cruising time in highway lar..kadang kala kat town pun. sometimes reach more then half. itu yang merisaukan gue. Any ideas to settle it..(otai2 pls..)other things for me no problem kot..insyaallah ok..water temp nie yg bahaya sikit.nk kate teror sangat idak lar kan..

like what mr. highwaystar says the pricing for the those maintenance. If like that price.. lebih kurang proton or mitsubishi (turbo cars) stuff ajer..(correct me wrong) :roll:.

base on my experience pakai turbo lagik sakit barang2 dia (for those people yg gile speed lar).kenap pomen kaki semelih...amik ubat
