My engine serial number is 184s1 so its an m42. 1.8 duplex timing chain. came from an e36 318Ti.

but initially u were struggling with the ews right?
only the m44 had the ews issue.. |

its a low horsepower engine compared to m20, but lightweigt,twincam duplex timing chain with adjustable cam sprockets standard,contributing to better balance, its a fun engin, you can rev the hell out of the engine, thats where it really makes its power,it has forged internals so forced induction is possible.its not a drag engine, dont expect too much from it but modification optios are infinite,,,,check out www.m42club.com |
