Aper nu?? Dogleg gearbox?? Any difference from the normal one?? Pls enlighten...anyone?

no jay, we are not talking about ur leg...:P

dogleg gearbox is when the first gear is at ur 2nd gear position.

it was famously used as racing gearbox back then when paddle shifts were not invented yet.. A racer mainly uses 2nd & 3rd gear whilst racing, thus built according to human hand's most comfortable position.

n it has a 1:1 ratio for the 5th gear..hehe,
here's the dogleg gear position:

R 2 4
1 3 5

Ohhh, now I'm enlightened.. thanks sifus. Another thing, if dogleg is 1:1 ratio, normal ones for 5th???

Dah googled dah, tapik masih belum betul-betul fasih. Pasal the language used to explain is very technical. Need more basics before I can go to the technical level on the net. Maybe I ought to go perpustakaan...hahaha.

perpustakaan takde dogleg larrr kalau kamus dewan bahasa pun kena cari under anjing & kaki kekekeke. It is just Racing Gearbox thats all. cheerio!
