if not mistaken the max we can take is 225 @ 8.5JJ without cutting, but already rubbing.. unless u roll the fender or widen it...

then how do this rim can fit???
i dont think it's 8.5'' or less of it's width...

dude trust me, the fender has been stretched.. Very Happy

for simplicity sake, take ur thumb, measure the rear fender...the length of the thumb to the hand should be able to cover the m40(post 89) rear fenders...

however if ur body is the m20 (pre 89), u will see that it will only equal to half a thumb...

the pix above looks like can fit 3/4 of a hand...

just bought a hacksaw....who wants to put those staggered rims in their cars please buy and come to my house.....i chop up your fenders for you....lets put it this way......to do that kind of mod you will need to spend a lot of time in a body work shop to mod the arches to fill it with deep dish rims that big.....not worth the money.......plus rims of those offsets are bloody expensive and tires are special order and cost a bomb......AS MAFIA'S BROTHER WOULD SAY " CAN YOU AFFORD IT??? " ha ha ha.....sorry personal joke....

but on a serious note best to take tombstone's advice larr.....save that money to buy good conti branded rims for your e30......with offset 25 and with a width of 7.5 max.......chun melecun dahhhhhhh

Hi Bro Tombstone

i newbie and hope to learn from the sifus here.

not advisable to use spacer to convert PCD100x4 to 114.3x4 ah? how does it affect the drive?

if the new 15" rim is offset 25 and I use above spacer, the wheels will jut out of the fender (without rolling fender etc)? can advise max width of spacer to use?

sori so many qns Embarassed

many thanks!

reason : saw a old skool rim i like but PCD114.3 x 4.....

spacer can use...to convert pcd why not.but have to calculate the offset of your original rims, plus the new wheels, its width and the spacers, may ot for coz spacers have to be at least .85inch thicks to convert, have to have ample amount of metal to have strength integrity of the spacersn measure your bolt, n excess metal to be thick enuff like a rim hub, bolt have to be fush inside the spacer...ok?

bro try to find a machine shop i'm sure they're lots of them in JB. i have used both metal and aluminium before on my other cars and nvr had any problem going on high speed. the metal one i did for the rear was rm125 ea. for 1.5" and the aluminum one was rm190 ea. for 1.5" also for the rear.

else try to check here for ref. : www.autoanything.com/s...510A1.aspx

search for "wheel spacer"

Bro Highwaystar

many thks for your info. kam sia kam sia

offset is ngam ngam but I need to convert PCD of the rim i like (114.3) to fit my e30 (100) - thats y concern after adding spacer, think wheel will jut out of fender oredi rite?.....

another rim i eyeing also pcd114 but offset likely to be zero (owner not sure, wtf) so this one use spacer to push out and convert pcd shd be ngam ngam (hopefully)

need to research costs b4 decide which one to get la...

no money to afford the expensive bbs, hartge or alpina or ronals etc leh....

thanks Sad

Opssss....sorry bro,

Ok let say u must modified your mudguard fender if u want use spacer coz wheel will jut out of fender like u said, must mod wide fender like pic...

My opinion 1st u must calculate the offset of your original rims plus the new wheels, its width and the spacers,it's can be ngam ngam if your body have big wheel space like 325 body but still must mod mudguard if your rim have big offset...

I think JB have many expert foundry/machine shop....bcoz many cars with extreme wide body & huge rims came from there!!! Twisted Evil
sorry with my broken english, hope u can get what i say... Wink

Malaysia Boleh!!!

Thanks...(fuh...berpeluh gak aku nak translate nih...)

Fuuh..then you have to use 114.3 - 100 spacer larr (on which thickness around 20-25mm) to use this spacer, you have to get rims atleast with the offset 45.... so 45 minus 20mm wll get 23 offset... mmmm guess so..

okay just say your sets of rims cost you average RM800 (without tyre)
Spacer will cost you another RM550 and Centerbore rings cost you another RM280 per set = total RM1630

If get rim for E30 with correct offset estimated RM1500 (2nd hand) an most probably you will add another 280 or less for center bore total of RM1780 (an extra of RM150 for comfortable and smoother ride)..

BUT ITS ALL UP TO YOU...kekekeeke

good luck!

either machine the rims if theyre solid...or they're 6.5 j anyways.won t hurt if spacers are 25 mm thick...coz ma car got 7.5 with spacers and offset like 30 no problem

Many thks for your advice

Seems too leceh - better find something with PCD100x4 and centre bore 57 (think shd start looking at rims for new Mini and just add spacer to get flush effect)

Know any shop in JB with good collection of rim for New Mini?
