Bro, this is very complicated topic lor. Judging by the road conditions, type of tyres and weather conditions no wheels is safe.

If its reliable maybe... but I'm not quite sure, todays market got taiwan, japs and the deustchland. I recalled a few years back, one of my friend commented that once you use Alpina 17" E30, the wear and tear of your bushing is fast and not to forget your front wheel bearing. I dont know why.

Most of us are using the 'used' rims, so... is it safe?

If you manage to get the original new rims from the certified Alpina supplier, you might get a warranty from the factory itself. If shit happened when you're travelling at 200kmh... than you are eligible to sue them lor... if everything base in their warranty terms.

It just like the Audi TT case which the car flipped over. mmm... thinking of Alpina wheels eh? Nice.... leleh..... sluuurrpppp.

Bro, if u want comfy, u can opt for 15". There's still BBS 15" in the market. As for 16", few Taiwan's brand is available. 17" pun still banyak lagi, replicas of course.

Your choice bro =)

go 16...best of both worlds!!!!!also the maximum size should be for e30s...according to many testimonies on the net laa.....beyond that its a compromise with handling and comfort.

Woiii SAMBK.....where la you driving at this 200 kph.....??you a works driver for BMW or what....speed limit 110 sj la friend now reduced for the Deeparaya festival as well.... you obviously plan on breaking them i see....heh heh heh....go for it man......!!!!

As for your question, replica rims are safe as long as you use thicker tires to protect them. if you use tires which are 45 series and below then the chances of kerbing or damaging your rims are greater. but anyways normal cast rims don't break thru normal use. when i say normal i mean hitting potholes and the such. if you were to fall into a hole or off a cliff then your rims could break but these things rarely do happen. of course driving at 200kph upps the odds.

as for e 30's unless you have an m3 then 16 would be the right size in terms of comfort and safety.no strain on your steering rack as well. but if looks are your only criteria then by all means slap on some 17 inch buggers.

Greets,

Thanks bro for the advice.

Speed limits does not apply to me when I'm on the highway, especially when I'm off back to my hometown Ipoh & the roads are clear laa, hehehe.

I don't own an e30 m3 but my ECU is remapped to its specs, hehehe.

Using 16in rims now on my ride, so far so good, its some unknown Jap rims, hehehe.

Regards.
