Salam and hi all,

Been thinking a long time to register in this forum. I'm not a bimmer owner, yet.. But I'm very keen to gather knowledge and information since my next car would be (hopefully) a bimmer.. Either an E36 or E38.. Currently that's as far as my financial limitation can go..

Before I forgot, I'm currently located in Sg Buloh, work at Rawang. Still single. You can call me Loy (but I'm a malay.. Smile

).

E36 is very affordable car today, you can get the earliest model 93 for RM18k Smile

well maintenance you're opt for halfcut or brand new. Then when you're not single... get E38 Smile

Thanx bro Highway star.. I think E36 would be a good start.. but don't u think a black E38 like in the Transporter will look way cooler? hehehe..

cooler yes definitely... as a first time user, i suggest start from 3 series first than straight to the top Wink

in this way, you can understand better why people like us crazy over bimmers...kekeke.

there are quite big gap between E36 and E38... the maintenance is huge. BUT if your budget permits why not. We just advise to spend your money wisely Wink

like i said you're single and chicks does dig 3 series coz its sportiness Smile

Well said, bro. I totally understand the difference in maintenance. I'll take note of your words. But who knows, when the time comes, my heart could make the decision instead of my brain... (hopefully I'll make a wise decision)..

Your location in Sg. Buloh? i got a friend, welll basically schoolmate wanna sell of his E36 for 23k year 97, 2 owners (according to him lah, hope its not BS). Its sedan 4 door, newly painted silver and comes with 18" hamaan rims.

this was few months back... interested i will sms his number. cheerios

E36 sounds like a sensible choice for a start on your bimmer journey. E38 shows that you are fully committed already. But purchase whatever you want, do not let others dictate your choice. After all you are buying with your own money for yourself.

Be warned that if you are not accustomed to Bimmers, E36 does look tempting and modern for that kind of price. Once youre in and once you mingle with the right crowd you may shift your preference to the classic and masculine E30.
