Good morning gentlemens and ladies! I'm planning to upgrade(or downgrade) my ageing l-jet m20b20 for either m42 or m50(non vanos, shoot me). Any workshop that you guys want to recommend(card accepted? budget?). Also pro and cons of these engines or other engines based on your experience. Let the discussion begins Smile

if your bugdet is big the go m50,if samll m42,m50 very powerful ,a bit nose heavy,but u dont autocross do you?m42 is a very lively engine,may not be the power source u need but still fun....

i don't autocross but touge once a while, what sort of budget for m42? 5k?

plus install i think somewhere there...some adjustments to the headers,to clear the steering coupling,,if u have an m40 even easier coz plug n play the gbox...n starter

just find m20b25 engine lantai then using back your l-jet wiring...just test drive one guy in jb done this...cost below 2.5k....huhu...

Hahahaha... yup.its m52... better then ever.. depend on what engine model u prefer.
m50 is timing chain... m20 still using timing belt.24v & 12v.

m52 is kinda wet dream for my car lol. wonder if anyone knows any competent workshop that offer this monster conversion. time to rob another bank.
