i alwayz get mix opinions from various people, some said 30K km, some said 50K km...etcs

as for me, once a year. as a daily car, i clocked my mileage average i traveled +-1800 km per month. for non daily car to be safe once a year too.. regardless jalan ker atau tak jalan. The materials tend to be harden and dry if not in use.

cheerio... what about others?

to be safe do it at 30,000km. How much does it cost to change a timing belt kit (belt, bearings and oil seals) ? Couple of hundred including labour. Wanna know how much it costs to overhaul an engine ? And that also depending on damage ? Way more than the amount that could have been spent changing the timing kit i can tell u...

Plus it's only a day job to change the timing kit. Overhauls are not that fast. Again depending on damage.

Oh and btw if your meter is not working then off and on you should oipen the timing cover and have a look at the belt. if you see cracks then change it la. Our stupid weather conditions and heat from the engine bay make belt life minimal.
