#2: Re: m40 timing belt set Author: boonaroo, Posted: Sun Oct 11, 2009 12:21 am ---- the timing belt set (belt and tensioner/bearing) should be around 60 bucks. add another 40 or so for the other belt. labour should be about 70 to 90.
all 4 pads will run you just over 200.
there's a recent thread that discussed all the types of bushings that one can replace. do a search man

#5: Re: m40 timing belt set Author: evilnickwong, Location: TTDI, KLPosted: Mon Oct 12, 2009 3:22 am ---- My prices last time for M40:
Original BMW timing belt - RM210 (better quality than the OEM Contitech one which is RM70, up to you to decide if you want to get it)
Small bearing - RM50
Big bearing - RM55
Tensioner - RM100
Aircond belt - RM25
Power steering belt - RM22
Alternator belt - RM22
The 3 aux belts were Contitech brand. All prices from First Div, except for the tensioner, that one got through my mechanic, so dunno how much he added on for himself there.
