Wondering if anyone has experience installing a rear ARB.

front - bolted to the chasis and control arm
rear - ?

from what I understand, for proper installation, you'll need to drill right into your boot and there could be welding involved at the trailing arms for reinforcement.

anyone with rear ARBs care to share?

If stock installation, you just need the brackets, bushing and linkages and they should bolt right up to the chassis and rear trailing arms.

If you are installing a thick bar, then reinforcement seems to be recommended.

1) Triangle tabs that are welding to the trailing arm mounts so that they are thicker and stronger. This is where the U shape bracket and linkage arm mounts.

2) The chassis where the bracket + bushing mounts. I believe stock design is a one sided hinge mount sorta thing. The aftermarket version is a beefier unit with mounts on both sides, + an extra third mount that goes into the boot floor.

thanks nick.

now....for the cheap and cheerful option - UR.

apart from getting the linkages, do you know if there's anything else one needs to get? since it comes with the bushes and corresponding u-shape brackets.

I believe the one that comes with UR is #2 and #3 in the diagram. Everything else you will need as well for mounting.
