#4: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: evilnickwong, Location: TTDI, KLPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:25 pm ---- Only thing I've heard is that the left side is higher, so that when the driver sits in the car (left hand drive), then the weight is more balanced from side to side.
Of course for us right hand drivers....
#5: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: boonaroo, Posted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:32 pm ---- what a timely post. I was just noticing the same thing today. was wondering if my springs were sagging. that and/or I need to go on a diet.
jokes aside thought, its "normal"?
#6: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: jeembo, Location: Car_JunkPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:46 pm ---- ....try measuring the difference with and without a driver in the car...i believe its normal bcos not only one person is experiencing the issue:) most of us...let's one one we gather our cars and look at the backside and check who got the most "senget" ass muahhahahaa....
#7: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: boonaroo, Posted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 3:02 pm ---- the side that's sticking up is actually opposite the driver. wah, with my fat ass, it prolly sags even more.
#8: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: evilnickwong, Location: TTDI, KLPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 3:24 pm ---- Correct I think, because as I heard, the weight remains setup correctly for left hand drive, but for us right hand drivers, its worse.
e.g. battery (which is really quick a substantial weight) is on our driver's side

#10: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: Mr_Bimmerasta, Location: The Republic Of PenangPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:29 pm ---- Haha...ni mcm problem aku dulu je nih..e30 senget...haha,sampai skrg still senget... ntah la ramai org cakap it's normal for e30....
#11: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: nawtyboy, Location: USJPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 11:52 pm ---- mine seems to be even too...perhaps itz the aftermarket market springs & shocks?
my former e36 was suffering the same 'senget' symptom...even after fitting the bilstein shocks coupled with M3 springs...stil senget???
i guess if u had the balance setting, itz a bonus, otherwise itz NORMAL!
#12: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: Jumpman, Posted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 12:24 am ---- HaHAh...seems that I brought up quite an issue. Well..mine was sagging to one side even before I lowered my car. But after I lowered it..it was more noticeable, as the tyre on the right side is inside the fender while the left side tyre sits at a chun position. My friends E30 is also even..which..yea is kinda odd or maybe cos his one is a 320 ? Don't know if there's a significant difference between the models. Need to try ask bro xsjado if his one is the same or not as he's also using 318 M40. Bro Pussy from bmwcm also commented that his one is uneven too lol..so i guess this is an E30 syndrome of some sort lol
#13: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: orangebmw, Posted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 4:33 am ---- sama mcm aku jugak..dulu ada pomen kata sebab enjin rb aku berat...tengok2 pakai enjin m40 pun senget jugak...sah la teori pomen tu salah...
#14: Re: E30 M40 uneven height at rear Author: xsjado, Posted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 1:15 pm ---- try looking when u dont have ur handbrake on.it sometimes have more pressure on one side as compared to no handbrake on.
