original E30 susah nak dapat dah. kalau dapat pun rege around 600 to 650 steel or alloy but most of it pun bocor gak. convert to E36 punya lah, E36 rack cost slightly lower mebbe around 450.

good luck!

bro if convert to e36 will it affect the 'feel' of an e30 which is much more desirable?

The E36 rack is usually more desirable as it has a tighter steering ratio which lends to a sportier/nicer feel in the steering.

If I'm not mistaken, E30 has 4 turns lock to lock, while E36 only has 3.5 turns. That's why alot of E30s do the conversion to E36 or Z3 steering rack.

yes, repair using rack repair kit. see the condition first, some cases rosak dah teruk repair pun tak jadi. unless your friend can send for overhaul.

good luck
