which back box/muffler is better for m40?

1) used bmw oem back box

or

2) new aftermarket back box.

I reckon even the youngest OEM back box for E30 is many many years old and far from "new" condition.

Better to get a new aftermarket back box, plenty of continental-oriented manufacturers to choose from. Can be quiet or frisky depending on what you want. Laughing

keep the centre box its good for mid range...try anything at the back except fart cans/dunk pipe.
