Greetings sifus and grand sifus, i've read through quite a lot of forum and wikis and all of it mentioned m20b20 rev limit is at 6500rpm. If that's the case then what's causing mine to cut-off at around 5500rpm? Clogged fuel filter? Dirty injectors? or maybe spark plugs need replacement? Confused

b4 anything , just bring ur car to the mech n check all the sparks, battery, ..fresh oil change all around ..new air filter/oil filter .
this is assuming u havent done a full service for the car .

it's a good idea also to check the injectors ,
i believe Optimum workshop has injector cleaning machine also .

ya ur engine shouldbe revving
to 6k rpm with no prob at all .
hope this helps

hello, as far as my experience, that is because off the afm spring is too loose, and it will over supply the fuel and you'll have the cutt off early..
that what i have experienced before la.. Smile

i think its not a cut off ......wat u feel is after 5000 rpm ur cant rev anymore ....

Many reasons cause tat happened .....

Check from most simple thing like fuel filter , injectors and air filter ....

I face d problem and found out its my open pot damm dirty and block d air flow ...so not enuf for d combustion ........rev stuck at 5000 rpm ....

replaced fuel filter(rm40, expensive?) but still stuck at 5500 though rev smoother at lower rpm. will proceed to remove filter later when free.
