early morning gathering at meeting point......rev up to d locations...lunch-mandi-manda-SLR-what-so-ever-not.....evening back to town/kampung...

no need to go far la...just 200-300km away from meeting point la....(hopefully d mtg point is in KL hehehe)....

if need to enjoy the ride and straight roads to cherating.. then it will be boring... on the LPT is only straight, straight only.. hujan, lagi teruk, only can do 60km/h..

go la, to the old twisting roads along karak or port dickson..
then can enjoy the real dynamics of the car..

our bmw's are made to handle corners..

why dun go up on the old road from tapah first..

enjoy the water fall, orang asli huts, landslides... more trees and cooler air.. a lot of turns and not much straights.. more relax..

going up the simpang pulai way is of course more fun.. but not much to enjoy.. some more, further than 43km from tapah toll and simpang pulai..
journey up the old and new road is the same..

suggest to stay overnight ?

I never been to CH....but i can do the arrangement.
to book a room and confirmed, we need to make some deposit to the hotel or chalet. Else the hotel would surrender the room to somebody else at very last minute.....

what are the budget that we are looking at per person?
and also....we need to confirm no of participants.

I would suggest we finalize by Mid Oct. What if we put some deposit upfront....n u act as Treasurer - keep all the depo?

Normally I collect deposit from participants....last minute cancelation the deposit will be forfeited.

ride there and back will be such a waste. if you intend to test drive i rather go for kuala kubu - frazers hill.

like last malatbimmer camerons highland trip is 1 night stay (FREE AND EASY no AGENDA), itu pun tak puas sebab lots of place tak pegi.. like bharat tea plantations, ringlets.. most of cameron trip is to relax your mind, so if rushing back and forth..is not recommended. i will go if atleast 1 night stay. this is to avoid driving hectic and safer for your ride aswell. kita taknak pegi setengah jalan and some have to tow back. Last time we took strawberry park as our accommodations which cost RM240 per apartment 2 pax (special rate - normal is RM380) and RM380 for 4-6 pax per apartment (normal rate is RM550). As we all go per couple we allocate 1 apartment 1 couple. We took 3 (6 pax) apartment and 3 (2 pax) apartment.

As for the Treasury, person who incharge will hold responsibilities ie: have a valid credit card for bookings and of course deposit for attendance will be collected 3 weeks before the event.

Walkie talkie also must have during this ride.. this is to ensure a safe overtaking.

Highway bro.. when going up on early morning no lorry going up.. only cars..

lorry sayur already came down in the evening..

No potholes when i was there last saturday..all very good now.. the last election saw new tarmac laid..

okay, i'm using Kenwood model and others motorola talkabout.
my kenwood can last 1 day.. of course kalau dah sampai kasi off jer.
my Kenwood use 4 AAA batteries. Motorola use charger ones. memang best.. i want to buy motorola talkabout 5-7km range.. rege RM230 per pair (2 walkie, 2 earpiece, 2 charger). You want share with me? we 50/50 larr

Anyway, FYI, trip to cameron highland will surely have to fill up 2 full tanks of fuel... so minyak average RM200+ kot.

okay thanks but i guess we can skip breakfast lunch and dinner since we will go out and havoc-king. btw per pax for MYR200 is way high my budget a full apartment is -+800 bucks... have you check the apartment from equatorial hotel... they having offer F&B RM88 per room is RM260++ (RM130 per pax) all the best breakfast menu always equatorial.

Anyway not to complicate the arrangement, 2 options:

Option 1:
we can proceed to book the rooms (any of the type) by this week. Bank in money to HighwayStar. No show the deposit will be forfeited!

Option 2:
we drive there, and walk in to any available hotel/resort/apartments. No booking is needed.

And we have Free & Easy itinerary......1st Nov konvoi to CH....up there u on your own..... 2nd Nov Konvoi down the hill...

Bro amna, thank you for your hard work, i apologies that i cant be the treasury regarding this trip. I would be prefer if you kow tim everything. it is little too short time to get participants to pay up in the middle of the month.

yo frens, due to:
1. participant withdrawals - priority for family, study n biz
2. high petrol cost for the trip to Cameron

mayb we nd to change the venue. Bro Highway suggested go to Genting instead. I hav no prob with any venue as long as it would be agreeable to all participants....ultimate goal to have FUN.
Go to Satay Muar for breakfast pon OK hehe......

Itinerary on 1st Nov Saturday:
7am: all to meet at the meeting point - Shell Station before the Gombak Toll.
8am: drive to Genting
9am: Have breakfast and free & easy activities, photo session
12pm: Drive down the hill.

Before drive down, we discuss and vote if want to continue with convoy to Janda Baik / Ulu Yam before drive back home. if not drive back home stret lorr.

need to have your feedbacks....how many now wanna join...we dun hav much time left if we want to proceed on 1 Nov.

if u hav better idea....share la...

This could be better, shorter distance, same target event and budget trip.
hope we can see new faces during this event.

Maybe we breakfast in Gotong Jaya and drive around genting where people normally didnt go.. like along vegetables market quiet road terrain with lush greenery's.

lepak at starbucks, happy hours and such...
