Got my ride a thorough servicing & diagnosis yesterday & the damages are as follow :

Oil Filter = RM28
Air Filter = RM43
Fuel Filter = RM58
Bosch Spark Plugs X 4pcs = RM45
Engine Oil = RM65
Fan Belt = RM24
Power Steering Belt = RM24
Air-Cond Belt = RM28
Petrol Hose = RM15
Hose Clips X 2pcs = RM16
Labour charges for oil, steering box & brake serving = RM70
Labour charges for V belt replacement = RM30

TOTAL DAMAGE = RM446!

Result = lighter car with responsive & lively engine!

FC problem seems unsolved still....under observation.

The mech is :

Mr Rengga - Truman Wheeliers
No48 Jalan SS19/7 Subang Jaya
HP : 012-201 8052

His name card claims to be BMW & MERZ specualiast (but i hardly seen one going there) & it was recommended by my E30 seller.

My findings are Mr Rengga is capable to carry out a nice job on my E30 and he is knowledgable in explaining the technical questions regarding E30. He is also prudent in helping you to minimize yur cost of servicing as he did not act like other mech that simply change everything although it's still useable. For instance, I told him to change my ATF but he told me my ATF is in very good condition and need not waste the ATF. He also help me to adjust my steering culpring as he said there was too much free play on my steer while driving.

Overall rating from me is : can give it a try there...and my personal experience there was pleasent one.

ya, i know more expensive, but i dun know for sure which parts need to be replaced for the 1st service as the previous owner told me most parts are replaced & service was carried out a month ago.

but i dun trust his word as seller will tend to over-sell their product. so i juz dropped in my car & let the mech take care of it lor.

next service i will buy my own parts from Bavarian Auto Parts!

anyway, tks for the reminder!

Some mech or service centre wont entertain if you buy the parts yourself. Ask them first before you do. Thanks

ya true oso, especially timing belt. they will not be responsible for any damage done if itz snap coz they will blame your parts are defective (sometime it's their worksmanship issue)...
