bro it looks like a type 1 not type 3....

this is a single piece unit...

17" is the rim size

8.5JJ is the width of the tyre... so u check whether front and rear same width....if front 8.5JJ and rear 9.5 JJ that means its staggered.

offset is how far it sits from the knuckle...

so like e30 it should be 25....max i have seen on standard mandart is offset 32..

offset 35 will touch the absorber

for e34, i m not mistaken should be less than 20.... correct me if i m wrong.

that is weird...mebbe u can double check...there could be tiny spacer of 5mm?

haha

anyhow, why i say so is based on my humble experience...i used to have a bbs RC 4 hole offset 35 (and could not fix on as it touched my absorber) if not for a spacer....

anyhow we runnign out of topic...sorry jacky

at first i wonder is there any wording that i cant see around the rim? behind the rim got one more word ( route O.Z )
so, how can i know what is the offset or how to measure?

kinda hard to measure the offset if the rim doesnt state the offset. Usually the offset is stated behind the rim.

looking good in e34 and e39,
e36 i think can fit with wider arch / wide body.
