Hail to our sifu2...

Blum pun setle problem tyr senget,now new problem come to me.....misteri skit penyakit m20 (Ljetronic 2.0) aku kali nih....maybe penah berlaku kpd sifu2 semua,masalahnya semasa tukat gear (up or down) tetiba enjin SHUT OFF!!! (battery/neutral indicator menyala spt baru nak start enjin) TAPI masih dlm gear, selalunya bila jadi camni (dlm keadaan keta sdng bergerak & clutch ditekan) aku akan OFF & START semula enjin & keta bergerak as normal....sifu2 pls help apa punca sebenar penyakit m20 aku nih....sbg persediaan sebelum ia menjadi lebih kronik.... Alternator nak kong??? kekadang susah nak start jgk,dlm 10~15sec baru hidup,tapi tak selalu la....

Kalau belting longgar,belting yg mana tu bro???? Rolling Eyes

u said when ur driving suddenly slip to neutral? Clutch slipping? just a guess. When was the last time u changed the clutch?

Kalau kereta susah nak start, alternator kena check tengok. Its time for 90A alternator.huahahaha

Yeah,it's slip to neutral & battery indicator menyala tapi masih dlm gear,selalunya bila jadi camtu OFF enjin (still tekan clutch coz masih dlm gear & keta sedang bergerak) & start semula & bergerak spt biasa....sambil konfius seketika Rolling Eyes
Last changed clutch about 3years ago...

How to check alternator it's ok or not????

if im not mistaken, try starting the car up. Then unplug the battery. let the engine run, if the engine dies off. The alternator kong. Im not very sure la, i read it sometime ago.

Regarding the clutch, i think if it slips, the clutch system have to be changed le. LUK clutch set. Should be around Rm6++ full set.

I stand corrected. Maybe other members can chip in

belting alternator tengok ada tension tak....kalau tak boleh slipping...jadi alternator mcm tak pusing...hence the batt indicator on kat dash...esp kalau suden change of engine speed

This is unique problem on which i never face before maybe mine is automatic. sorry bro, i cant help on this.

to ensure the alternator whether working or not, it is advisable to check alternator using amphere meter. kat kedai battery selalu ada. what they do is 'ON' all electrical ie: hazard lights, both lights (high and low beam), radio, aircond. Then they check the power in and out. if in less than out that mean your alternator is gonna kong.

trouble starting also contributes to fuel pump or electrical. Fuel pump relay located together with aircond compressor relay at left side shocks tower beside afm. (not in fuse box). OR starter module located at firewall.

mmmm...... hope it is not ECU.

maybe alternator.. tp mcm xsjado punye opinion.. belting alternator pun ade possible gak.. i rase penah kene gtu years ago.. but mine.. i refill carbon alternator then ok till now.. Smile ok la shull.. dah ade warning gtu.. spend ur time to checks..

Ok thanks a lot sifu2 sekalian....this case mmg unik & misteri sket bg aku,ok I will check alternator oso belting....

Fuhhh..I oso hope this not related to ECU Crying or Very sad

payah jugak nak maintain bmw ni ye......banyak2 bersabar la bro....kereta lama memang macam tu la ragam dia......saya pun dah habis RM 16 ribu repair e28 saya.......

or u can try this.dari alternator, ada wire positive yg supply power to the car.wire ni jalan masuk kat fusebox sebelum masuk bateri balik.macam wiring meter api rumah. kadag kadang,conection kat dalam fusebox tu longgar.the terminal boleh cair sebab panas and longgar.cuba check.lampu batt on sebab the system detects takde current from alternator,padahal alternator ok.cuba try. mana tau boleh. btw, benda ni dalam fusebox bawah fuse,so kena bukak fusebox tu. insyaallah.....

Update of my thread,sorry guys...sebenarnya time nak masuk or drop gear,enjin tetiba akan mati terus & indicator battery menyala....I think this case not related to clutch slip....Ok I will check alternator & wiring that u guys opinion....thanks guys!! fuh,bikin hati runsing lor.....

salam bro... my ride mengalami masalah lebih kurang macam hang la. cuma bezanya prob E30 aku... bila nak tarik or tengah speed tiba2 enjin macam CUTT-OFF dan kadang2 mati terus. penah sekali saya tengah speed kat hiway tetiba enjin mati. so, gelabah biawak jugak la nak lari dari lane kanan ke emergency lane. pastu kena tunggu dalam 10 - 15 minit baru bleh hidup. agak2 sama ka dengan problem bro shul kita ni? memang bikin hati runsing...

yours motronic or Ljet?
If L Jet, check your distributor rotor arm... mungkin haus ALSO please get new Fuel Pump Relay... This relay kekadang dah lama, so the current supply tak mencukupi. Cost new RM75
