Just wanna share how EON is getting desperate....went to a pasar malam here in klantan around 630pm. Noticed a Proton booth there!! with a proton wira on display. Wife i cakap.... "wow desperatenyer diorang. Kesian kat proton".
U guys penah encounter proton booth kat pasar mlm ker??? new strategy for them??...yg lg kesian takder pun org pie tanyer2 kt booth tu

I felt more sorry to the sales people, i'll bet their glory days gonna be over soon, if they produce a quality car and low price, users will definately go for proton.

Last time (before i own bimmer), the tin milo car on sale and i enquired to one of the sales guys and asked him about how 'KUAT' this car since it famous for "total lost accident"... do you know what the sales person told me? he said, WE BUILT CAR FOR TRANSPORT NOT FOR ACCIDENT. After i heard that kind of remarks, proton will sure and always be TIN MILO car forever.

Proton oso impose for import duty for MALAYSIAN MADE CAR.... Strange isn't it? UK Specs Proton is more higher quality in terms of accessories, chasis and even bodyworks. WHY? because they (Proton) have to follow UK specs to penetrate their market. And Malaysia specs is Cheap Shit...Why lar? Why we cannot enjoy of what UK had??? because we not worth it? mmmm.... then when people go for bimmer (which is more than 15 years but still strong), they start making a Lousy Car Scrapping Policy...Kelakar lah

Whatever it is, i aint gonna pay for 50k car for another 7 years. I'm happy with my darling bimmer... i'll bet everyone is.

Desperate? I think so too. The newer version is only a lil' bit make-up and add here n there. New Waja just plonk in Campro engine. Make-up and change the interior. How can they improve?
Selling at Pasar Malam maybe it's a good idea to get the crowd and target market. But, it will further spoil the brand (which is already spoilt).

its true, what bro high said we have lousy quality protons on malaysia....and good product....overseas.......and the worst part is the ppl out there don have to pay as much as our own ppl to own a proton......

surprisingly my last wira 97 didnt gave any prob at all!!.... even the power window. still the quality was lousy larr... rattling here n there. Carb summore.. bad milage. Sold for 13.5K here in klantan.

yeah man...i do agree my waja dat i've been having for the last 7 years still serve me well...the clocked mileage now is 318878 still revving hard thanks to Mobil 1 hehehe....to date i have 2 rear windows problem(i nvr fix it) door handles has been changed 2 times and the biggest problem i have is the wiper link assy...it has been changed for 4 times now! but nvrmind la...the car is debt free now hehehe....use it till it dies...

Proton Air Cond terrer one, i agree with you willy. BUT sometime i feel strange, when i took a cab, aircond tak boleh pakai..not cold but breeze only hehehehe.

The reason why air cond in proton are cold because most of the materials used in the interior of is plastic and paper. Paper corrugated box was use for roof lining and covered with breathable textile, dashboard is plastic (that is why after 5 years, the car rattling because the plastic shrinking), seats is sponge (not rubber sponge) and textile, fittings like door lever and door cuts are plastic. So, all these materials eliminate hot air faster compare the materials that was use in BMW. BMW was made for Cold Country and Proton was made for Tropical Country. (plastic vs solid materials)

Performance wise, I dont have any problem with proton performance, Yes, most of the technology came from Japan Mitsubishi and now most of the engine block made locally. To my argument is whylar price sohai (So High) one. Like what i stated the IMPORT DUTIES..hehehe

BMW will be BMW, Proton..debadge to Mitsubishi kekekeke

Last time got one case, it is a syndicate involving a proton store keeper and 'underground' JPJ officials which doing trade for WAJA car engine. What he did is, he sells 'on stock' engine to street racers. then swap the 'Kong Engine' to the stock car. When actual buyer got their car, after 10,000km kena overhaul. mmmm.... this was reported and lucky the culprit kena tangkap. This incident gave BAD reputation to Proton, since then... public lost their confident already.

15 year old Car Policy is still crap! the only way is to reduce the proton price and give lower interest rate on loan. If i'm 50 years old and driving an old Ford Mazda 323 which is over 15 years, and the goverment paid me 3k to take proton car, shall i able to pay the loan? hehehehe... sudah 50 tahun, kerja pun tak dapat nak cover the monthly installment...hehehehe

sure no offence one la bro highway i totally agree that proton makes shit car for their people...if they want to sell proton sell it first to their kiss-ass politicians...i doubt they even use proton...khairy jamaludin is using XC90 if im not mistaken...his moving wardrobe is a mercedes vito....i doubt that he will use it if given as a gift!

good idea bro....all politicians are limited to buy national car......from kancil to a v6 and they can only use....national car......as long as they live as a politician......i wonder how they will react........heheh....... Very Happy
