Hey guys... I searched the forum but i think no one has had this problem i am facing now. Iit all started like this:
1. When for a car wash yesterday evening. Because it was extra dirty, asked the guy to spray lebih. Then left the car wash and started to get ticking sound from the glove compartment.
2. Reset the alarm. Drive back and the ticking sound comes back.
3. Today morning, unlocked my car. The alarm lights were not green and not red, was a little orangey. So reset the alarm again and tried to lock and unlock. Then the car could not lock.
4. So check all the door then found out that the drivers door needed to be slammed a little harder. Tried to lock and unlock, it works.
5. Reached office, tried to lock the car with alarm and same problem. Beeping sound like one of the doors not closed. Slammed the drivers door again and can lock.
6. The ticking sound still exist while driving in the morning as well.
What could be the issue? Anyway, I am driving a e36 328 1997 model.
Thanks for the help guys...
Cheers...

aiyoh now i remember lahh... the ticking sound might from the interior lights switcher/relay. the boot is not secure enough, then when you travelling the vibrations kick the light switch (in the boot) that cause the relay to respond. I faced same problem also and suffered from the irittating click sound for months. then one day god shine a light to my stubborn brain and discovered the bracket that locks the boot is broken on which made my boot slightly ajar. mmm lucky for you man... kalo tidak, sia sia beli alarm baru kekeke
good one! cheers!
p/s sometimes when you go for wash kao kao or really heavy rain, some wire (the old ones) might connected the earth.. this will produce th clicking sound oso.
