Been running aroung klang valley yesterday and found this m42, lots of em actually. Is this on DISA intake manifold? Will i encounter EWS nightmare(xsajado, how did you cure yours?)?

by the ecu number yes it is the EWS nightmare, engine number 184s1,no remedy unless u have the ecu,key,key transponder radar,black box,silver box with yellow plastic top...all work hand in hand...ask BMW mech mr Ah wai....he tagged my harness and i put it back together in sarawak..what a nightmare.took six months to install, 3 mnths to swap,3 months to start,coz nobody knew how to wire it..until i brought the harness to Ah wai.

wonder if they have just the head for sale,so i can port it,grind the cams,..dont think they have the e30 m42 intake manifold for sale do they??

then no choice but to go megasquirt way for ecu (7200 rpm?). halfcut in selayang selling engine only for 1.2k oil pan need to use m40 kan? can i use back my m20b20 getrag 240? how about engine mountings? radiator? fan?

jeembo - i prefer manual - i got 1 m30b35..without the gb.. thinking of pairing it with the m50 manual gb... is it possible?... or better to go for the original m30 gb?....

xsjado - even if the m30 idea to be materialized... heheh i dun think i wud to dismantle the m42...heheh... but no worries.. ideas still can be shared.. heheheh...rugi le bro. kalau nak bukak2.. sayang pulak.. heheh..

kura2- rubber n bracket moounting use back,getrag use back,radiator use,oil pan use,header need to cut n re weld....wont clear the steering coupling...
