Guys.. asking on behalf of my friend. He drives an E30 and his gearbox already kaput. I've got another friend who's doing an engine transplant on his E28 and wants to sell his gearbox.
Question is can the E28 gearbox be fitted into the E30? Are the brackets the same? Both cars are running on M20 engines.

should be okay bro, the only thing is to know if its auto trans then a bit problem lorr. it got to do with 4 speed and 3 speed gearbox.

hum...guyz...since the gearbox question is being asked i'd also like to know....are those....m20b20 series and m20b25 series the same? cos i'm planning to get one spare.....unit.....

i see so the diff is ratios.....so bro.....what do you recommend.....for short.....distance.....acceleration and....for top speed.....? any suggestion......? would like to try both ehehe
