picked up this article earlier today.. just wanted to share...

"The bigger your car, the more you will have to pay for petrol from May 1. This is because the Government is going to change the way fuel is subsidised. It is planning for a fuel pricing mechanism that will ensure only targeted groups, particularly those from the lower-income, will receive fuel subsidy"

Such a stewpid rule - first the NAP. Rakyat say stewpid. Then Kera-Jaan 1Malaysia say Ok cancel for Rakyat. *shhesh*

Another stewpid idea - for Singaporean cars, they can only fill-up 20liter at 1 station. IF you don't want them to get the subsidized benefit, just don't allow lah bodoh! They still can go to another station and pump another 20liter rite?

Btw, whats the difference if you charge more for petrol for bigger cars? They still have to fill up more rite? Ask all the farkin Menteri to fill up and even pay-up all their taxes, touchngo reload, phone bills etc lah. Rakyat didahulukan konon .. now dah di'buduhkan' dah ni ..

..err please excuse my language ya =)

very2 stupid rule le..how are they gonna implement this?

Most ppl have both higher cc and lower cc cars. I heard that they gonna use the higher cc cars as the main car for the person. Fark la like that.
Bloody politicians who drive around with ferrari f430s shud pay for their roadtax & fuel oso la like that, not be "subsidised" by the gomen. Always one sided la these guys.

Ppl work like horses to get money just to see it go down the drain & into the pockets of these half-blind wits. How can someone with proper education think like this is beyond me.

I have to pay tax here and there. Income tax is not that little. At least I want and demand my voice to be heard. It is not a crime rite? I'm not rioting on the streets or burning something kan? .. so no need ISA for me la haha

if you use motosikal and at the same time you own big cc cars, they will charge according to your mykard, if mykard already stated 'this MALAYSIAN CITIZEN should not be allowed subsidized fuel' therefore ko bawak motosikal cc rendah camne pun die kira 'unsubsidized' issshhhh

Apa cer???? Rolling Eyes

PUTRAJAYA.Jan 8 – The mechanism for fuel pricing in Malaysia has finally been finalized and controlled under one mechanism, which also takes the high and lower income group people into consideration, according to Finance Trade Minister Tan Sri Anuar Ali.

“From May 1, the fuel will be pegged at RM 3.90 litre for RON97, while RON35 will increase to RM 3.70 per litre. However, the prices of national-made vehicles will be lowered by at least 40 percent. For example, a full-spec family sedan Proton Persona 1.6 litre engine will cost around RM 23,000.00 excluding road tax and insurance. Import tax and excise duty will be revised to only 30 percent, from the current 200 percent. Imported vehicles such as the new Toyota Camry 2.4 litre engine will cost around RM 65,000.00.” he said.

The mechanics has been said to be undertaken by a team of experts from Australia and Canada who were earlier briefed on the issue of subsidy in this country, whereas after consideration by the transport minister, they have signed the constitution that the system will be made on May 1, the day it goes into effect.

Under the new system, there will be a major effect on the existing consumers who have already purchased a vehicle and to those who are in the midst of repaying the loan of their vehicle to their financial institution.

Ahmad Tajuddin said the government might also re-introduce a cash return annually to Malaysians who own a 1,500 cc and below vehicle. The amount have yet to be decided but he assured that the amount will compensate the price of fuel by at least half to eligible Malaysians based on bumi quota.
