Howdy guys.... need some advise and comment......I found a set of 16" rims... but the offset is like +30... i wonder whether i need to do some wheelarch works or it can be fitted just like that....
16 x 9j
Offset +30
i reckon the 215/45 tyres should be ok....though it will look a bit undersized... pls correct me if i'm wrong...
appreciate your views... thanks

Offset 30 on 16 should be okay. tyres try to use the original setting
205/50... i was using the same tyre size! awesome and more comfort too

I'm not 100% sure of course, but from what I've read, if you are running 9" wide tires, 205/50 will require fender rolling, but dunno if that applies to ET30.
205/45 or 215/45 gives you more clearance, so maybe then you won't need to roll your fenders.
Having said that, I'm guessing with that offset that the rims do not have a centerbore to fit E30 (57.1mm)? If not, you will need the hubcentric cones anyway at which point, you might consider hubcentric spacers instead to effectively lower the offset, but again, will need to check clearance since then the wheels will poke out more.
Go run through this thread, Mystikal there has given out lots of info on wheel/tire fitment and I'm sure I've seen a couple of recent posts with 16x9 wheels as well. www.r3vlimited.com/boa...hp?t=83125
Otherwise, you can post a query there too.
Btw, 16x9, whats that eh, Borbet ar?

i had this prob before as well....m not sifu but i can share with you my experience....
bigger the ET...makes ur rim goes further inside...not outside...so no rolling is required - basically.....
so for this case....ur rim will go further inside about 15-20mm if you take ET15 as the baseline....
it wud probably hit the strut inside...instead of the arch.
if you put spacers...it wud work...but you need to roll ur arch
this time it might not hit the strut inside....
if ur rim is 15" u might not need to roll the arch.....
conclusion...it won't fit just like that....
keep us posted on this godspeed.....good experience to share......

Also remember must have that extra .75" on the other side where rim meets the strut.

thanks for the comments guys... very informative indeed....well, this is what you can expect if you throw a question to bunch of pros.... thanks again....& yup .. u guys r spot on... i also need to consider the strut issue...
still in the process of digesting the input.... will have to sleep on it & then only can make decision whether it's a go or not....
....schwa - u got me there.. borbet T....i must say there's nothing special about the design.. but i just need to know how does it look on my ol lady...hehe
hwystar - the rs sudah kasi frame ler.. now running on a different rims... and considering changing to another (?)heheh .... so this particular rims kalau jadi pun will have to take a number in the queue... that will give me some time to think about it.. heheh....

Are these the ones from koopang over on bcm?
I saw them too, but was put off by the centerbore size. I think they're damn nice though. Clean 5 spoke design, deep dish and easy to clean. Only downside is heavy haha.
