very true. though, the stockists are flat out and replacements will take weeks to ship. in the meantime, I'm seeing if there's one available to tie me over in case it keels over.

oh, FYI for anyone curious, a new one costs just below 200 bucks.

The one I replaced on the E36 recently was RM150 I believe.

Btw, when that one broke, you can still bide time by sealing the cracks/holes. I used a combination of silicon sealant/epoxy and wrapped with duct tape after. Worked perfectly fine till I got the replacement. That's just temporary though of course lol.

to give some background of this request. I've been experiencing some unpleasant jerking from the intake, and after noticing cracks, I suspected it could be it. so it turns out that my mech (both of them) ascertained that its a busted AFM after a series of tests(the elbow tested ok, just outer cracks) and attempted remedies. which really is not the greatest as its not a cheap part.

Is the flap sticky, or rather the movement is not smooth? If so, you can always give it a clean and lube it up.

If it's the electronics, then tough luck. Razz
