btw does this candidate worth 4.5k? is this m20b20 l-jet or motronic?

looks like a ljetronic engine to me.
4.5k for an e30 sounds too good .
best is to check the chassis ..
most importantly , check under the carpets...at the floor of the car, passenger/driver side .

under the front wheel wells , from ur photos , the car might have some rust at the battery holder plate.
also if possible jack n look under the car for holes/rust at the undercarriage (all around the car)
dont forget to check near the firewall (area between the engine n cabin of the car)

all prefacelifted e30's are mostly NOT galvanised body, and are more prone to metal rust.

start the engine , it should idle at 700-800rpm when warm without aircon on. idling should be smooth.

most important kasi check the chassis kow kow for a clean car.
if not in the future, banyak kerja to buat/kemas.

tq wks79 :D, i've checked the car once but was at night, spotted rust spot at firewall near battery, behind clutch pedal, and front-driver door. Btw i've opened the hood but dunno where to make it stay up, had to ask my fren to hold the it whilst taking pics lol. mmg super newbie hehehe. Any estimate budget if i'm going to redo the whole car? 4k sufficient ka?

4k to do 'the whole car'? ...i guess NO WAY....repaint would cost u already 1-2k....but do it bit by bit...dun rush....hehhe learn from me....u will regret...

i dun really hav the idea of 'how much'.....but mine was done at USJ1...the whole body...+-5k....my advice...dun rush...ask Sifus in here...check previous threads....wud help u a lot....

check around....in kayu ara there is one good mech...Ah Foo....if u coming from Bdr Utama, turn left at the esso (if not mistaken)...school at ur left...go stret...just before u reach the 'hiway'....turn left (a furniture shop at ur rite) the inner road...go stret n u will c a corner lot with lot of old skools....that is Ah Foo's.

Hi kura2 welcome onboard. If you get this ride for 4.5k its a good deal. Kereta piang pun for E30 cost 4k, this one with geran and roadtax should be awesome. You must have patience if you use E30 furthermore its classic modern already.

Engine is Ljet and maybe 2.0. mem tak kasi? why? if you fully done and rebuilt back to original without tangan gatal ie: bodykit, rims.. it should be 5k. Spray paint bodyworks +-3.5k. timing belt, service and other hidden cost ie bushes, shocks another 1.5k. Then total spent will be less 10k Kereta+repair. After that slowly (kura kura) source for your tangan gatal stuff like b.kits, nicer rims and might be turbo kits hahahha.

It took me nearly 7 years to make my ride to perfection (on my taste). Somehow, i dah tangan gatal beli halfcut to swap my engine. Total spent for my ride to date is around 18k.

remember, you must have patience and passions to do this. For the less of 10k, you have a decent ride with ultimatum driving experience. RM10k is only downpayment for some other cars on which you have to pay monthly
installment.

Buy this car cash, fixed it up and drive. If you worry about maintenance,
you pretend you still pay monthly 300 for your ride. this 300 is your extra cash to maintain your car. Therefore you car will be always Tip Top. (if you can simpan monthly 300 for the car it is more than you need).

Do take wks advice checking on the engine and rust. At least you know
where do you stand.
