I like the E30 coupe. I was advised by some khabar angin to search for the year 91/92 and above because it is made out of galvanized steel rather than the older ones which are eacy to "karat". apakah pendapat audien audien sekalian?

very true! unless kereta sudah kena bang...then karat will lurk ehhehe but then its not easy to get the coupe bro for the last model, mostly i saw lotsa sedans...any sifoos here can help our fren here:) but if ur balls are made of steel than easier for u to get a coupe bro:)

actually galvanised body is 89 and above and the last model is 91 for E30. 91 and above is E36.

You can dream to get E30 Coupe year 89 and above because auto bavaria tak bawa masuk 2 pintu... most of available coupe model is year 84 - 87. Kalau buleh dapat pun imported model on which susah nak dapat...

actually abang reinier the last e30 4 door was still produced in 92 by Auto Bavaria ie Suresh 's e30, and also one of ah foo's customer.

over seas up till 93 they still produce the e30 convertibles throughout the early stages of the e36 which started production in 91.


but chan san, nothing is impossible, u can still find a coupe post 88....just need alot of patience and moolah....

but another word of caution, doesnt mean its post 88, u wont have rust,

i have seen a 91 model e30 4 door rusting to glory. so what ever car u buy, whichever year, still insist on jacking up the car to see the undercarriage and the firewall...


PS : get a 36, higher chance of the car surviving the rust revolution.(however i have also seen some e36s which are rust buckets, due to prior accidents and welding jobs below par)

kalau dah besi.. rust memang buleh punya... only time factor...betul tak?

heard around technic of welding also counts.. some use electric and some use gas.. also weld using copperweld and buttwelding, arc welding etc... if the old owner use normal welding (maybe to fix tiny thing)... it also prone to rust, thus all those tiny metal molecules is not solid and exposed easily to O2 and moisture.. the rust start spreading.

if the body is full galvanised but improper welding component, mesti berjangkit punya.

and then gunalah anti rust jenis hammerite...kurust or rust bullet...5 years guarantee karat won't come back...its not to cure the rust but to prevent it. i have it coated to my E30 coupe 1984 model kekekke
