Aihh Sad , i've been having this problem for quite some time now. My car is an E30 2.5L engine. Whenever i try to reach the rev limit or not even reaching the rev limit. My car will hesitate...the feeling is like lifting of the throttle for 1 second, if i force my engine to go, it will backfire kao kao Crying or Very sad

My current exhaust piping starting from the extractor is original twin 1.7" piping. After the bullets (abit bocor), i customised it to 2.5 " single piping until my single inlet 2" inlet remus exhaust.

Someone told me that due to the massive amount of backpressure in my system, it will backfire. Is it true? Btw, my idle is smooth and have no problem or what soever, what could be the problem?

Damn fed up cannot rev the E30...

thx you

Chris

i read most of the ppl in US have no problem or whatsoever. their piping are single 2.5" and their exhaust inlet is 2.5"

Mine is 2.5" piping with 2.0" inlet exhaust. I think the bottle neck effect is causing this backfire. Does anyone have anymore explanation?

Bro... TUNE your engine please...

Your 2.5 engine is low timing, timing idle at 1.2rpm yes BUT the amount of air out is low. your extractor will become red.

Correct me, when you start your car (when cold) and rev no backfire but after half hour running the engine then your rev again the problem occured. And when driving long stretch, you deaccelerate and got sound like motor boat .... right?

I faced this problem before and i thought it was just the exhaust piping. BUT IT IS NOT. My mech drove my car and he said my ride is underpower. Then we re-tune again... now my ride is the fly air asia, no backfire and no blurp blurp.

I will recommend this shop to you... FD Jaya located at Old Klang Road behind Heritage and look for Oi. Why i recommend? because, after 3 years of driving and asked atleast 5 specialist and they all blame on my exhaust system. BUT when i sent my car to FD Jaya for service, they instantly noticed... GREAT isn't it....

Try it
