yeah... some mech said m40 eng mounting doesn't last long without damper and better to use m20 eng mounting.

but i never try m40 ori mounting yet.....

most of mechanic tht i visit, recomend m20 engine mounting as a replacement and require no dampers.

any comment from sifu's...?

hi all. have changed the rubber coupling. and also with new teflon bush. no bmw chop on the rubber.

after change the steering got NO free paly. but i can feel more vibration direct to my hand. too ...

no need. just loose and remove the two bolts at the coupling (bottam and top)
knock the coupling towards the rack... and u can able to remove the bottam end from the streering shaft. than just pull ...

did some diy today...
i removed the steering coupling from car and removed the rubber as well.

unfortunately, there's no tear or creak on the rubber coupling as expected.

then fix it b ...

managed to let mr david (everco) inspect my car. found the flange is ok. but there's a crack below 3 inches from the flange.
he try to weld it... but cnt fully due to its near to engine and the ava ...
